Big Rapids Church of the Nazarene is Evangelical in doctrine and Evangelical in practice. We believe the Bible to be the inspired Word of God, the foundation of Christian Faith, and the Guide to devout, God - fearing lives. We believe in reviva;s, in preaching the message of repentance, and urging men and women, boys and girls to forsake sin and seek God for forgiveness and the cleansing touch only He can give.
In today's rapidly changing world, God's grace and the need of the human heart has not changed. Our Church Family offers to people today a warm and genuine church as well as the help and support to live a victorious Christian walk. Therefore we seek to be a church that fulfills God's "DREAM" for us as expressed in the Great Commission and the Great Commandment.

What we Believe...
SCRIPTURE ~ We value God's Holy Word, we believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God. We believe that it is without error and that it contains all things necessary to lead us to salvation in Him. We believe that God's word is absolute truth.

Salvation ~ We value God's Gift of Salvation, we believe that everyone is a sinner and that sin seperates us from God. We believe that God sent His Son Jesus to earth in order to be sacraficed for our sinfulness. His sacrafice allows us to be forgiven and to begin a New Relationship with God.

Sabbath ~ We value the Sabbath, it is important that Sunday be used for rest, family, fellowship, and spiritual growth through the attendance of corporate worship & teaching.

Stewardship ~ We value Stewardship, we believe that God is the owner of everything and we are simply His managers. We believe that God's Kingdom is built through the giving of our tithes and offerings, our time, and our talents.

Servanthood ~ We value servanthood, we believe that God has called all of us to a life of service to one another. We believe that every Christian is called and should be active in serving both the body of Christ and the world around us.

Sharing ~ We value Sharing our Faith. We believe that the world is lost in sin and that God has called all of us to share His Gospel with everyone, we believe that every Christian should actively seek to learn how to share their faith and to build relationships with those who need to hear the Truth of the Gospel, and of our Lord Christ Jesus.

Spiritual Growth ~ We value Spiritual Growth, we believe that God has called all of us to a life of growing in our relationship with Him. We believe in the act and process of sanctification in which God works in us to help us become holy people. We believe that spiritual growth is the responsibility of the individual believer and is fostered by the church through small groups that include Prayer, Biblical study, and accountablility.
